We are seeking for dynamic individuals to fill the following position:-

Assistant Sous Chef (ASC)

Job Description:

• To oversee the smooth running of kitchen operations for a zone of art boutique café.
• To chair the monthly “Kitchen Ops Meeting” to proactively address any issues that require attention.
• To recruit and select suitable personnel for the kitchen team (Commis I & II).
• To assess and/or review the work performance of all kitchen staff in a designated zone to recommend for confirmation, promotion and appraisal (monthly / yearly).
• To motivate, counsel, resolve conflict, handle grievance, and take disciplinary action as and when deemed fit.
• To develop subordinates appropriately by identifying and taking action on training needs.
• To plan and suggest food items appropriate for specific Promotions, Functions and Events.
• To assist in the planning and execution of new menu, including research & development, costing, photo-shooting, etc.
• To develop a set of training materials and Standard Operations Procedure (SOP) following every finalized menu change.
• To be in-charge of new boutique opening and ensuring all equipments, crockery, tools etc are ready for use.
• To enforce all hygiene health and safety rules and regulations.
• Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned by superior or Senior Management.

Requirement:

• GCE ‘O’ Level
• Min 5 yrs of related experience in western cooking, of which 3 yrs in supervisory capacity
• Quality conscious with an eye for details
• Resourceful and innovative
• Mature and open-minded
