AGI is looking for an well presented, experienced, self motivated, pro active team player. Candidates should be willing to accept temporary assignments (up to two months) outside of Thailand.

Objective:

To perform design coordination in Design Build (DB) projects during construction and pre-construction phases.

DESIGN / PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR

Responsibilities :-

• To liaise directly with the Project Manager and Engineering Manager on all issues pertaining to the project.
• To work with the Engineering Manager and planning department in regards to all design and engineering scheduling.
• To liaise with the commercial department and in particular the assigned Quantity Surveyor and procurement department for the project.
• To prepare drawings schedules, door schedules and hardware schedules.
• To attend all designated meetings both in house and when nominated, with the client onsite or offsite.
• To provide documentation, detailed instructions, working drawings, sketches or specifications to the team, so that they may be drawn, fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified so as to be fit for design intent.
• To ensure that the company policy and procedures are maintained and implemented at all times. Whilst continuously seeking ways to improve, refine and modify procedures.
• To maintain the company drafting policy standards for the entire team and project.
• Must be able to work under own direction and in a team focused environment
• To coordinate the work load and distribute the work amongst the team effectively and efficiently.
• To supervise and administer all appointed CAD draftspersons in producing their given tasks in the allocated time frame.
• To coordinate the flow of information between sub contractors
• To prepare and manage the execution of ‘As Built’ drawings at completion of the project.
• Assist in developing cost estimates and recommendations for cost effectiveness.
• Reviews client’s design drawings and specifications ensuring that technical and code requirements are met.
• Assists in the coordination of the preparation of bid documents for outside contractors to bid and construct, relaying information to bidders such as the needs of the client, the trades to be involved and the estimated start date.

Qualifications :-

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Architecture / Engineering or at least 5 years experience in design, engineering and construction.
• Strong Organizational Skills.
• Knowledge of architectural, engineering, design and drafting principles, practice, methods and equipment.
• Familiar with engineering and architectural mathematical calculations relative to technical drafting work.
• Must be fluent in written and spoken English
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Able to communicate in a clear and effective manner
• Skill in preparing and interpreting drawings, graphs, charts, maps and legal descriptions.
• Demonstrated decision making skills.
• Ability to work in high production environment.
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.
