LIA Singapore is the not-for-profit trade body of life insurance product providers and life reinsurance providers licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Its 19 members comprise 16 life insurers and 3 life reinsurers.

The vision of our Member Companies is to provide individuals with peace of mind and to promote a society where every person is prepared for life’s changing cycles and for those unforeseen situations.

We are committed to being a progressive life insurance industry by collectively enhancing consumer understanding, promoting industry best practices, and fostering a spirit of collaboration and mutual respect with government and business leaders through the Association.

The objectives of the Association are two-fold:

• We promote, enhance and protect the positive image and reputation of the industry; and
• We see to it that issues are identified, managed and resolved without or with the least adverse impact on the industry.

MANAGER (EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATIONS)

The Life Insurance Association, Singapore, is looking for a creative and resourceful individual to join its team of full-time Secretariat staff.

Do you possess a good understanding of the broad range of life insurance products including more investment-oriented products, an excellent command of English and enjoy writing for consumers and media purposes, and thrive on taking initiatives and working independently?

Job descriptions:

You will be involved with:

• Developing messages to inform, educate or promote the life insurance industry in the forms of media releases, newsletter, articles and replies to public inquiries / complaints
• Managing special projects related to consumer education
• Supporting the LIA Subcommittee for Public Relations
• Assisting with general administration of the Association as necessary

Education and skill sets:

• Degree or diploma
• At least 4 years of experience working in a life insurance company
• Good knowledge of life insurance products and general understanding of the life industry
• Excellent communication and writing skills (proficiency in Chinese would be an added advantage)
• Good interpersonal skills, independent, resourceful and happy to work in a small set-up
