PROCUREMENT ENGINEER

Reporting to the Head of Materials, you will be involved in sourcing, negotiating and purchasing of raw materials and mechanical components / processes. You will drive cost reduction and contract negotiation initiatives. You will also be responsible for managing and development of suppliers and participate in quality improvement and supplier development processes and review their performance. You will need to source for local and regional subcontractors and work closely with various departments from submission of prototype to production and involve in product transfer.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years’ of procurement/purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in PM or precision machining industry
• Fluency in English and ability to communicate in Mandarin is highly preferred
• Strong negotiation skills, analytical and problem solving skills
• Resourceful, self-driven and able to work independently
• Knowledge of ERP / SAP is a MUST
• Some traveling is required
