Project Manager- Marketing Communications

Job Objective:

To develop and maintain marketing strategies for the assigned trade fairs and conferences in Asia, in co-ordination with the Project team. To evaluate customer research, market conditions and competitor data to implement changes to the marketing plan as required. To implement international marketing, advertising and public relations activities, in order to attract exhibitors, conference delegates and visitors to the show.

Responsibilities:

• Marketing the assigned trade fairs and conferences to the organisations and professionals in the related industries in the international market.
• Develop annual marketing plans to meet project objectives and to manage marketing timelines by ensuring that marketing activities are executed in a timely manner.
• To develop and manage the marketing budget for the project and deliver all marketing activities within the agreed budget.
• Planning and execution of visitor, delegate and exhibitor promotional activities (Above & Below the line)
• Conducting media research, planning and execution of media plans.
• To manage media, partner and supplier (including PR and creative agencies, production houses and market research consultancies) relationships.
• Planning and execution of press conferences and public relations activities (including the development of media angles and pitches) for the assigned events.
• Planning and execution of online marketing campaigns (including the development and update of event websites, social media etc).
• Track and evaluate the effectiveness of the marketing campaigns and to prepare marketing and PR reports.
• Assist in the development and execution of corporate marketing communications.

Job Specifications:

• At least 4 to 5 years of relevant international marketing communications experience, preferably in the trade fair and convention industry.
• A strong understanding of customer, cultural and market dynamics in the regional and international markets.
• Ability to work well in a team, with strong people skills and understanding of group dynamics
• A self-motivated and driven individual with the determination to achieve goals within set deadlines
• Willingness to travel and high flexibility is required.
• An energetic, hard working, creative and extremely organised individual who can demonstrate excellent attention to detail and good negotiation skills.
• Applicants must possess the relevant tertiary education and knowledge of MS Office applications.
• The role will report to the Regional Marketing Communications Manager.
