Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Simulation and Design Validation)

Job Duties:

• Lead and drive the company’s product design verification and improvement activities using simulation tools and theoretical calculations to enhance product design cycle, performance and quality.
• Provide mechanical design and consultancy services to the company’s worldwide R&D functional groups in areas of mechanical simulation.
• Provide data and solid model suitable for electrical, optical simulation.
• Verify and co-relate simulation data with empirical results.
• Travelling would be needed in order to fulfill project requirements.

Skills / Qualifications:

• MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
• Candidate must have at least 8 years graduate engineering and simulation experience in the industry. Applicants that does not meet the requirements will not be considered.
• Candidate must have good fundamentals regarding structural and fluid mechanics, thermal dynamics, materials, numerical methods, Finite element analysis and modeling.
• Practical experience in the following areas:
  o Stress analysis
  o Thermal analysis
  o Flow analysis
  o Drop test
  o Shock and vibration
• Experience in manufacturing processes such as casting, molding, milling, machining, stamping, extruding.
• Good verbal, written and presentation skills.

  o Work independently with minimum supervision.
  o Self motivated.
