Due to our business expansion in Asia, we are now looking for a high caliber and self-motivated individual to join our Global Quality Team as Supplier Quality Engineer.

Reporting to the Plant Quality Manager for San Diego, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that suppliers deliver quality parts, materials and services. This individual will support the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products to established standards and customer specifications.

Supplier Quality Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitors parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle, communicates and resolves supplier-related problems
• Monitors suppliers’ performance by utilizing tools including supplier surveys, audits and supplier report cards
• Conduct on-site, pre shipment source inspections and testing of Entegris Gas Purification systems
• Develops and prioritizes an auditing schedule to ensure that designated suppliers are audited on a regular basis
• Partners with design engineering to develop specifications of purchased components and work with purchasing to review supplier corrective action requests (SCAR)
• Participates in the planning, administration and implementation of quality inspection procedures and work instructions

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering and preferably possessing Six Sigma Black and Lean Manufacturing certification or experience
• Minimum 5 -10 years experience and sound knowledge of Statistical Process Controls, FMEA, process audits and other proactive quality management practices;
• Able to travel internationally
