A wholly-owned subsidiary of Det Norske Veritas (DNV), DNVPS today operates a global network of customer service offices and five specialist fuel laboratories located in Singapore, Rotterdam, Oslo, Houston and Fujairah. We have the competencies and infrastructure to provide ship operators with Total Fuel Management Solutions, delivering measurable improvements in risk management, cost and operational efficiency, compliance with regulatory requirements, and environmental management.

We are seeking dynamic and self-motivated candidates for the position of

SYSTEMS ANALYST

PRE-REQUISITES

• IT related degree
• Min 2 to 3 years experience on Dot Net development for Windows Application and Web Application (ASP.NET) using VB.NET. More experience on Windows Application development is preferred.
• Min 2 to 3 years experience on SQL 2000/SQL 2005/SQL 2008 with expertise in database design, writing stored procedures and ad-hoc queries
• Knowledge or experience of XML, Web Services will an advantage
• Sound knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
• Able to work independently and a good team player

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform entire Software Development Life Cycle – User requirements, system analysis, design and development, database design, testing and debugging, and implementation, documentation and training for Application Systems
• Assist current or potential application users in identifying and describing problems or opportunities that might be addressed either:

a) By implementing a new (automated or manual) system, or
b) By changing an existing application system

• Ensure that the system is delivered on schedule
• Ensure quality of the system i.e. bug free system and meeting user requirements
• Provide back-up support for other applications and other members of the department
• Ensure proper project and change management in assigned IT systems
• Implement identified quality and efficiency improvement tasks for assigned IT systems
• Any other special projects as assigned by the line manager

This position is offered as a one-year contract and remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered to the successful candidate. We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
