Technical Superintendent

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the operational planning and execution of the dredging works, cost effective and seeks with vessel’s Master, HOD, Head Office and Operational Dept to ensure the most effective way of dredging for TSHD & CSD.
• Ensure that the ship and all auxiliary equipment under his supervision are regularly checked and maintained as per Vessel’s Planned Maintenance System.
• Responsible to assist HOD to maintain, manage and implement all policies and procedures to ensure vessels comply with IMO, Flag State and Classification Society rules and regulations for safe condition.
• Providing on-site technical support to vessels whenever required.
• Prepares jointly with crew repair lists and budget repair costs for scheduled docking, meeting IMO, Flat State and Classification Society requirements.
• Ensures that the vessels maintenance costs are within allocated budget.
• Organises repair maintenance work in such way that the work is carried out to required standards of quality and safely with a minimum risk to persons and equipments.

Requirements:

• At least 2nd Engineer 3000 KW and above unlimited voyages.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in the relevant environment and serve as 2nd Engineer for unlimited voyage for 1 year of sea service.
• Well verse with matters pertaining to Safety & Health, ISM, ISPS, IMO, Flag State and Classification Society Rules and Regulations.
• Sound knowledge of Marine Industry
• Computer literate
• Fluent in written and oral in English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• Self motivated person and able to work independently.
