An opportunity exist for an experienced Training and Development Manager to be based in Singapore.

Training and Development Manager

Primary Purpose

The Training Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive professional development and work related training program which provides employees with the skills necessary to perform their duties effectively, improves organizational effectiveness and productivity, and which creates an environment that promotes professional growth.

Responsibilities

Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors.

• Provide opportunities for professional development, improved organizational effectiveness and productivity and work related training by planning, developing, and delivering a comprehensive employee development strategy that reflect the needs of employees and is aligned with and in the context of the Company’s strategic plan.
• Lead needs assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of training and development programs.
• Continually investigate and implement innovative and creative training solutions, materials, methods, and programs to meet the development needs of the College community.
• Work closely with HR management and the employee relations staff in development, planning, presenting and evaluating training and development programs, and specific learning activities designed to enhance and support job competency, leadership, performance management, teambuilding, communication, employment law, diversity, and customer service.
• Manage and administer Staff Development Fund and Continuing Education programs.
• Support and assist employees in developing career progression plans.
• Design and deliver programs for individuals and groups that facilitate professional growth and career development within the context of the Staff Compensation Program.
• Ensure all required compliance training and reporting activities occur within required timeframes.
• Work with and support employee relations staff in new employee orientation.
• Contribute to the overall success of the Office of Human Resources by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Knowledge

Demonstrated competence in adult learning theories required. Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work across diverse cultures and styles at all levels of the organization, to cultivate and maintain strong relationships in building consensus and support. Project management skills, successful teaming with colleagues, and a strong results orientation.

Requirements:

Experience

• Oil and Gas Experience is a must

Education

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in human resources management, communications, management, educational administration or a related field; Preferrably with Masters Degree.
